Our Story

The We’s Match was inspired by Lisa Yancey and Lynnette Kaid’s experiences seeking to build their company, SorsaMED. Along the way — despite participating in an entrepreneur incubator program — they felt few advisors understood them or the nuance and audaciousness of what it meant to be a Black female first-generation wealth builder. While lamenting with other entrepreneurs of color, they realized that they were not alone in their feelings. And so the name and algorithmic matching platform, “The We’s Match” was born, birthed out of the desire to see more similarly identified and values aligned people sitting on both sides of the table.
